Homa Hills Community Development Organization, a multi-donor funded NGOs try to fill the position of horticulturist to manage drip irrigation under the ministry of the farm.
Responsibility for horticulture
1. Assist in preparation of crop protection for controlling plant diseases and insects
2. Prepare orders for different types of plants and seeds, in consultation with agriculture
manager
3. Train and supervise junior staff in the use of greenhouses and methods and techniques of planting and propagation of plants.
4. Application of a program of fertilizer suitable for horticulture in the various farms and greenhouses drops
5. Prepare and implement plans for agricultural production
6. Develop and implement appropriate plant breeding and management of the nursery
7. Save a perfect record on the farm and updated over time.
8. Maintenance and repair of irrigation
Knowledge, skills and abilities
* A thorough knowledge of horticultural crops and their management in all phases.
* In depth knowledge of plant propagation and cultivation.
* Thorough knowledge of principles / practices of management of the nursery.
* Knowledge of the principles of supervision.
* Experience working on a farm drops / regular greenhouse.
* Must be a team player.
Qualification
* At least a bachelor's degree in horticulture from a recognized institution
* At least two years and experience, especially in agriculture, horticulture, preferably drip irrigation system / greenhouse
* Valid driving / driving license
Computer skills are required *
