AMREF project assistant jobs in Kakamega and Kisumu in Kenya (2 positions) - Western-School Health Project
School project is funded by the Western Health and GIC will implement the comprehensive school health program in four districts: Gucha and Bondo in Nyanza Province, Buter and Vihiga in Western province.
The project, to improve the quality of health care in schools and communities by improving a healthy and friendly for teaching, learning and development.
Scope of work: -
For technical / operational support for implementation of project activities.
Main tasks: -
Plan in cooperation with the government and other partners and monitor the implementation of projects
Assist in organizing and conducting site visits and discussions with partners and stakeholders, networks and partnerships to strengthen
Facilitation, networking, training and coordination team of the project area. Capacity building in health care, teachers, educators and SMC perform on joint projects.
Participate in the development of school health promotion IEC / BCC materials. Assistance in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual project. Assist control and management of project resources and activities.
Join reached on the monitoring and evaluation of activities and processes to achieve the desired results of projects and promote the allotted time.
Get involved to influence the conduct of surgical research, documentation and sharing of experiences and best practices of the project on the policies and practices.
Contribution to the development of new concepts and proposals for fundraising
Ensure the visibility of AMREF and donor visibility at local level.
Qualifications, experience and know-how
The ideal candidate must be a team player.
He / she must hold a degree in Environmental Health / Health Sciences or related fields.
Practical skills in planning and coordination of project activities.
Good knowledge of the following computer programs - MS Office, MS Word and Excel.
Good knowledge and experience in the field of health promotion in schools and research.
Proven track record in financial planning and budgeting, project monitoring, documentation and reporting.
