VSO Jitolee primary school teachers and education managers in Kenya
Volunteer with VSO and make changes in the lives of people around the world.
VSO VSO Jitolee is a member of the International Federation based in Nairobi, with a regional mandate to promote volunteerism and recruit professionals in Kenya and Uganda.
These professionals serve as a VSO volunteer programs in 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Pacific and Latin America.
In addition, they contribute to national development cooperation with Kenya, through local partners in the field of disability, living conditions and health.
Jitolee VSO is currently looking for professionals committed to education with the skills and experience in the following areas:
Primary school teacher (ED-01-TO)
* Experience of teaching across the curriculum of basic education for children aged 5 to 15 years.
* The success and enthusiasm in teaching the class with a good learning experience active, student-centered teaching and continuous assessment at primary level.
* Experience in developing educational materials.
* Knowledge and experience ¡n the development of education, particularly in raising standards of achievement and education.
* Experience in designing and facilitating the training of primary school teachers.
* Ability to work independently to plan activities.
Head of Education (ED-02-TO)
* A strong management background in education.
* Knowledge for the development of training materials.
* Experience in classroom observation and action research in education.
* Ability to conduct inspections and / or the design of systems for inspection of the school.
* Experience leading staff in developing curriculum.
* Experience in conducting basic research and analysis of training needs, planning, organization and training and coaching for primary school teachers.
You have a degree ¡n education and more than 5 years of work experience ¡n the areas of expertise mentioned above.
We are ready to work in other countries for 1 or 2 years, and ready to go in the next
3-4 months.
Your knowledge of working with vulnerable groups is a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
