Description: To drive and facilitate the provision of liability Education Project is indeed the conduct of the processes and interventions that will strengthen the system of school governance, mechanisms for controlling the operation of public schools and greater accountability in the management of public school funding
Position objective: to lead and facilitate the provision of Education Accountability Project, in accordance with project objectives, outcomes and outputs.
To perform this role effectively, Education Advocacy Leader must be able to effectively carry out the processes and interventions that will strengthen the system of school governance, the control mechanisms of functional citizens in schools and greater accountability in the management in public schools.
Qualifications: Education / knowledge / technical skills and experience
The following can be achieved through a combination of experience or formal training themselves, or on the job:
* A minimum of a degree in social sciences or equivalent
* Significant experience in the field of social responsibility, working with children, partners and advocacy groups, and government officials at the local level, etc.
* Ability to lead in a complex and difficult
* Significant experience in facilitating participation in community groups or citizens in government, public policy and legislative process
* Significant experience in building coalitions, networks and the ability to build coalitions and networks to take positions on specific policy issues
* Creative thinking and innovative
* Experience in capacity building, strengthening communities, stakeholders and production of IEC materials with an emphasis on education policy and defense issues
* Excellent time management and priorities
* Expert in educational policies and legal instruments at national and local
* Strategic thinking and ability to conduct strategic planning with other
* Experience working in a multi-cultural and inter-
* Experience in campaigns complete and / or communication
* Working knowledge of English and Swahili.
