Mercy Corps has recently been awarded up to 3 years under the Youth can USAID initiative, covering six areas in Kenya, Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Central, Nairobi and the coast.

The heart of this program is the Youth Innovation Fund of the change (YICF), which belongs to youth, young people and youth driven financial incentives to support local solutions to community economic development as it grows in value.

The program aims to increase young Kenyans the right (15-35yrs), to increase its stake in the socio-economic and political development through youth and managed initiatives and institutions.

YICF in the first three years will provide a sound financial capacity and development assistance to around 200 thousand young people in the various projects identified by the youth socio-economic development.

General Position Summary:
Operations supports the functions of state agencies and field program, including procurement, human resources and administration services. Man Resources Manager to manage and coordinate all staff in the six areas mentioned, including Nairobi.

Management Office requires a standard implementation of all policies and procedures of human resources with the involvement and oversight of daily operations. Human Resource Manager will be the person to submit timely reports and updates are provided in the office of field staff, and program management.

The main functions of:

Ensure the implementation of uniform guidelines for Mercy Corps, human resources, and guidelines for the donor, if applicable, in field offices

Responsible for the maintenance of personnel files of all employees - including documents, recruitment, curriculum vitae, a valid contract, EMS, diagrams, data sheets, employee discipline and performance evaluation of paper:

Knowledge and experience:

At least 3 years experience in international development assistance and human resource management and governance of the international NGOs.
Previous experience with USAID grant
BA / BS or equivalent in a relevant field. Training and experience in human resource management and development of better.
Demonstrate expertise in the understanding of labor laws in Kenya
Introduction to Mercy Corps Box office systems, finance and compliance.
Good computer skills in Excel
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and develop human resource capacity.
Fluency in written and oral communication in English is required.

Living conditions / environment:
This position will be based in Nairobi, with travel up to 25%.
