Description: To provide leadership in monitoring, evaluation and learning in the project and other government initiatives and advocacy in the sector and WVK.
Position Objectives: As part of the team for Educational Accountability Project, Monitoring Officer, Evaluation and Learning (Governance and Advocacy) will provide leadership in monitoring, evaluation and learning in the project and other government initiatives and advocacy in the sector and WVK.
To perform this role effectively, Director M, E & L should be able to effectively carry out the processes and interventions that contribute to effective monitoring of project interventions, functional learning and initiative of documentation and a more accountability of project beneficiaries, partners and donors for funding.
Qualifications: Education / knowledge / technical skills and experience
The following can be achieved through a combination of experience or formal training themselves, or on the job:
* A minimum of a degree in social sciences or equivalent
* Significant experience of project monitoring and reporting, advocacy and government
* Ability to lead in a complex and difficult
* Experience in documentation of project work and to facilitate learning for different platforms - from the community and outside agencies.
* Direct experience in governance and advocacy project will be an added advantage.
* Creative thinking and innovative
* Experience in conducting the baseline survey, public policy evaluation and research and advocacy issues.
* Excellent time management and priorities
* Strategic thinking and ability to conduct strategic planning with other
* Experience working in a multi-cultural and inter-
* Working knowledge of English and Swahili.
