We are seeking candidates for the following position based in Nairobi, Kenya:
Description: The role of internal audit function with the Office of Compliance and Internal Audit (OCIA) is to provide objective guarantees that the business risks FHI 360 was properly managed and that the management body risk and the effective operation of internal control framework.
Internal auditors will work with the leadership of the Chief Internal Auditor and internal control to plan and conduct internal quality audits. FHI proactively assist the parties and the third in improving internal controls, compliance with the requirements of A 133 -, greater standardization of infrastructure and staff of the African Regional Office (AFRO).
The main responsibilities:
* Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit and administratively to the Country Director of Kenya. This position will be involved at different levels in the conduct of the audit, especially in AFRO, the work of investigation, audit risk assessment, planning, supervision and monitoring, OCIA, and treatment of general information, analysis and dissemination.
* Perform an inspection under the direction of team leaders (who may be directors, officers, senior internal auditor) and in accordance with international practices IIA professional framework (IPPF) (ie the standard for the realization of internal audits).
* Perform audit functions and projects at national level, from planning to issuance of the report. The issue of the letter announcing pre-audit, collection of a pre-audit documentation, make a special assessment of audit risk, to develop an audit program, audit testing, to develop the draft report presents the results of tests, the management was involved in discussions on results and actions to implement the management plan and complete reports for the review and the issuance by the Director of Internal Audit.
* Management of the monitoring process, including registration of all findings and recommendations of internal audits, maintaining the database and the appropriate software to facilitate tracking and automated monitoring reports of findings and recommendations.
* Monitor the implementation of the findings and recommendations for CO and sub-recipients in Africa.
* As required by, and under the direction of the Director of Internal Audit, perform the work as part of an investigation into allegations of fraud, waste or abuse of FHI 360 projects and operations.
* Aided by information gathering and analysis for risk assessment and internal audit annual audit planning process FHI operation 360.
* Use the control software to significantly expand the scope of potential operations audit testing, with particular attention to the anomaly or other unusual attributes.
* Perform special projects and other sensitive to the need.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements:
* BS / BA in accounting or business related to more than 3 years experience in managing grant contracts to NGOs and / or direct and supervise the internal audit, efforts to reduce costs, special projects and to other related work;
* Post-graduate is highly recommended.
* A certified public accountant licensed (CPA (K).
Travel requirements * 40% to 60%
* Build a strong team spirit and experience has shown in the control software.
