Role of purchasing functions:
The purchasing function plays a key role in the success of the company, ensuring that the appropriate vendor for materials are identified and managed to ensure that all purchased materials meet or exceed the quality requirements and specifications defined by the company, which are suitable for the intended use, with fair and firm at the best price. The purchase also includes a key role in ensuring that inventory to meet delivery requirements agreed to eliminate delays and / or cessation of business for the company.
Qualification standards are required:
• Qualifications must be at or above NQF 4 in a recognized institution who is registered as a provider of training services
Qualifications:
• A recognized qualification in procurement and supply management or
• A recognized qualification in planning or equipment
• A recognized qualification in planning production
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years in the environment without purchasing skills
• A minimum of 3 years in a shopping environment with the necessary qualifications
Skills and Knowledge Required:
• Computer literacy in MS Office such as Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail
• Computer skills as benefits of SYSPRO
