m2m (M2M) is an international NGO based in Cape Town, SA, is dedicated to providing education and support to pregnant women and mothers living with HIV and the prevention of mother to child.

M2m helps HIV-positive pregnant women and new mothers to become role models in their communities, promote AIDS awareness, testing and service. M2m currently operates in eight countries in Africa and receives funding from a diverse set of donors.

Association Partners
x 2 (Nairobi and Kisumu)

Objective: To strengthen the capacity of local partners, the implementation (lip) to transmit efficiently Kenya Mentor Mother Program (KMMP) according to national guidelines. Each position works closely with key partners and MOH M2M. The position reports to the Senior Program Manager, based in Nairobi and Kisumu respectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support for the selection of senior staff to facilitate the involvement of the lips and the initial orientation
* Support the development of capacity building programs for M2M lips, including setting objectives and developing the material resources of the program
* Coordinate the involvement of LIP in the region and involve staff in the program of the lip of each organization, build relationships and promote effective engagement
* Perform an external assessment of the lips in relation to national guidelines set
* Develop a work plan for services to be delivered to each of the LIP
* Stimulating the lip on the content standards
* Provide ongoing support tailored to the lip of appropriate support for identified needs
* Build on the provision of services in the M2M model position to give the right lip, in collaboration with the Regional Director
* Continue to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to increase capacity and improve program quality
* Collect and disseminate experiences and best practices, and contribute to writing reports for donors and other key stakeholders
* Participate in the management of Kenya M2M extended team, reflecting on the progress of the program and make recommendations for improvement
* Provide accurate and timely communication with Lip staff, key stakeholders, senior program manager and head of M2M in Cape Town, South Africa
* Perform other duties given by the senior program manager

Qualifications and experience required:

* Degree or equivalent in public health or related field; advantage of a master in question
* Minimum 5 years experience in the management of public health program
* Direct experience management education program for peer psychosocial support and PMTCT (with M2M or elsewhere)
* Experience in managing the health program funded by the USG a distinct advantage

Qualifications:

* Proven ability in project management, planning and evaluation
* Ability to lead, inspire and motivate others
* Ability to think critically and creatively and to facilitate collective problem solving
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships at different levels
* Familiarity with the basic principles of the theory of adult learning and behavior change / organization
* Ability to work independently and in cooperation with other organizational units
* The dynamism, creativity and independence
* Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook and Internet)
* Fluency in English and Kiswahili important
* Having your own car and valid driver's license advantageous
* Enthusiasm for working on behalf of a client's mother and babies M2M
